RedTree / Dustin was great! Worked along side me for my stage presence, audience work, and vocal warmups for my performances at the World finals in both 2022 and 2023. As I continue on with a career in music, RedTree/Dustin will surely continue to be apart of it!

Red Tree and, in particular, Dustin has helped me so much over the last several years. He unlocked my singing potential and taught me proper breathing techniques, mic control, and performance. In my first year of competition, I did not make a venue final. Last year, I made the provincial finals in both solos and duets. The transformation was amazing. Thank you, Dustin, for all you do!!!

During my teens and twenties, my singing voice had been something that I took a lot of pride in, but as school and work took center stage in my life, I basically stopped singing. Cut to my late thirties, and I wanted to get back into musical theatre, but the voice I had in my youth was not the same. The amount of vocal dysmorphia I was feeling was almost enough for me to give up, but then I found Dustin and RedTree Performance Academy. Over the past year and a half, Dustin has not only taught me new techniques to strengthen and control my voice but also learn to embrace and even love changes that have happened with it. While I might not be hitting the highs of my first Soprano days in my youth, Dustin helped me uncover the rich and full lower range that was initially beyond me. During the beginning of my journey with RedTree in 2023 I took part in KWC (Karaoke World Championship) and was able to make it to the Ontario regional finals in solos and the Provincial finals in duets along with a new friend I made at RedTree. While I was proud of my accomplishments then, I knew I could do better. A year later, and I’m pleased to say that while I didn’t take part in duets, thanks to Dustin’s coaching, I surpassed my solo placement, earning a spot in the provincial finals. I am truly grateful for all the instruction and encouragement I’ve received through RedTree and look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and better myself with them.

Dustin was instrumental to our win in Tokyo, right down to the finishing touches of hair, makeup and costume. And for as much time and effort that Candace and I invested in ourselves, Dustin’s investment in us was immeasurable and fine-tuned to our success.

Attempting to put into words what Dustin is able to offer is rather difficult really. He is naturally apt – he can sense what is needed, he can instruct with confidence (both his own and given to others), he is affable and joyous and brings an infectious aspect to his coaching and to life in general.
I feel certain that his good influence, coaching, and friendship has seen me grow immeasurably as a performer and I highly recommend his talents; you will not meet another quite like him in this life <3

Kate Dion

It is difficult to pick a starting point for how instrumental Dustin Jodway has been in my journey of performance. He has been my coach long before any title or designation was established within KWC, it is his very nature to coach and find ways to make people feel comfortable on the stage.
My personal transformation from ‘extremely shy’ to ‘very comfortable’ took years to attain but it was guided by Dustin. His ability to assess and understand is natural – he was able to see why I was uncomfortable and gave me encouragement that addressed my fears and helped me overcome them.
When Candace and I placed to go to Worlds in Tokyo for Duets in 2019, Dustin was a key figure in our success. He made time to take us through the process of not just perfecting a song, but adding motion/choreography and stage placement to our performance. He supported our ideas and gave them life with keen instruction and attention to who we are as individuals. Dustin gave me wonderful tips on breathing techniques to assist in sustaining long notes, he gave us both expert stage direction for all of our songs, but most notably for our second song Candyman. Dustin gave us rehearsal space to stage-block, he gave us time to perfect our songs and coached us through movement and timing – all of these things are naturally present within him.

Growing up I was passionate for musical theatre and singing but I had to put that on the backburner to concentrate on my children and career. Upon discovering KWC, I reignited my passion.

Before working with RedTree and Dustin, I was a flawed singer that struggled with breathwork, pitch and timing. I've gained so much confidence in myself as a singer and as a performer. Dustin taught me how to command the stage and be true to myself vocally while teaching me proper techniques to maximize my vocal potential.

Through a lot of hard work, dedication, laughter and tears, i was able to achieve a placement in regional finals in both solos and duets and a placement in provincial finals in duets in my second year with Jill White. In my third year i achieved a placement in provincial solos placing amongst the top 40 singers in Ontario.

I can not recommend Dustin and RedTree Performance Academy more and i look forward to seeing the future holds for us!
